Busy busy few weeks.
At work, I've pretty much been in wall-to-wall all-day meetings, which has done *nothing* for me actually getting stuff done. But, that should be out of the way now. Phew. ...last night, driving home from work, listening to Catherine Tate (on Capital), singing to 'Leave Right Now' by Will Young, leading into a discussion about what the lyrics mean. Fantastic. Looks like we're priced out around here.
- Pottered around in town earlier; nothing less than 250k. Nothing of any note, anyway.
- Landlady got back to us today. The good news is that she's happy to extend the tenancy on as long as we need.
The bad news - she's expecting 275k for the flat. She's getting valuations done, but it's not sounding -

Soo... we had a chat with an IFA last night about mortgages. All very good, very informative, explained everything to us and possibly more besides, very friendly and helpful and doesn't charge us a penny for his services.

Spoke to the landlady tonight.
Turns out she'd almost forgotten about us! Had forgotten to tell us she'd moved (fortunately the phone number still worked), and also about the possibility of selling to us.

Well - not exactly a case of a Powerpoint actually physically killing someone (though I've often felt like murdering some presenters), but scientific proof that Powerpoint presentations are bad for your brain.
