mechanic needed ASAP

Does anyone know a good mechanic, preferably in the north hills area or at least not that far from my house. I really need someone trustworthy, and I don't think that those big places are trustworthy, they overcharge and under pay employees, and most hire guys right out of school ( Read more... )

Herky Miller on Babcock is pretty reliable. I dont know if they've got the diagnostics equipment or not but he's honest and their work is good. I've taken cars there before on my own and Josh has been going there for years.

Which place did you go? I've never heard of Mechanics without diagnostic machines...

But I know of one way down 19 that has been excellent, but I thought it was you that recommended them to me.

if you can't find somebody real quick, advance auto parts stores have the engine light checking machine and it's free. (I've had a mechanic try to charge me $50 for this service, so it's a really good idea to find out before you hit the mechanic anyway)

Geez.. not have a diag tool? Definately find another mechanic.

If your car is older and doesn't ahve the OBD2 connector, they can at least jump it with paperclips to get the code. It's not that hard.
