I'M HERE!!

After far too long without Internet at home, I'm finally BACK! YES!! *does very quick happy dance*

Long story short is that I had a financial difficulty that took far longer to recover from than I'd originally imagined or planned. I would have been back about a week ago but after finally getting my service restored, it turned out that ( Read more... )

Big hugs!!!!! Nice to see you back. Hooray for internet again; hope you manage to get caught up on the most important stuff nice and speedily!

Jeez, he's 16 already? O_o Kids grow up fast! I'm pleased to hear they're both doing well.

I stopped paying for antivirus years ago. I got rid of McAfee and installed AVG - it's free, it doesn't use as much of my processor, and doesn't run weird updates that look more like viruses than most actual viruses! :)

LOL Kids grow up too fast. I told them both, years ago, that if they loved me, they'd stop all this "growing" business. Didn't work very well.

I'm a creature of habit when it comes to antivirus. I've used McAfee for years and absolutely love it. To me, it's more user-friendly than most any other antivirus I've tried. I pay $30 a year and never have to mess with it again until my subscription is up for renewal. I'm one that'll happily pay for ease of use.

I use Avira Anti-vir and Malwarebytes. Both are free and seem to work quite excellently.

*GLOMPS*

I'm a creature of habit when it comes to virus protection. I've had a virus once, and didn't have McAfee at the time. I've never had problems while McAfee was up and running and I'm too terrified of trying anything else. *hugs computer close* LOL The poor program is going to be downloading updates all night, I think.

LOL! Between the kids and Mr Idiocy, I get a virus about once a month. The kids even know how to shut down the computer, boot it up in Safe Mode, and run Malwarebytes.

I just have to say again that I'm very happy that you're back! *hugs again*
Older Son is acting his age (16).
My son was so easy to raise - until he turned 16. That was a terrible year. Since then it's been much better, but that whole year was as if he decided to be TEENAGER WITH A VENGENCE!!!
Hope your younger son has a nice birthday - and that it's not too hard on you.
I'm still smiliing because you're back!

*hugs back* LOL I'm so glad to be back that I can't possibly put adequately into words. :D

Older Son is still pretty easy for the most part, it's just convincing him that just because he's 1) 16 years old and 2) taller than me, this doesn't mean (in any way, shape or form) that he should have a say in how this household is run. He does not get to be the man of the house just because the position isn't already filled by another male of the species ( ... )
