taxi driver

Mar 09, 2006 08:20

So, this morning as I took the train to work (as amor_ereptor is still sick), I had to take a taxi from my station. The guy actually used a UPS (edit-GPS) system to take the way to my work as he didn't know the way. I could have directed him myself, but hey, if he understands a machine better than my directions and we actually get there, that's fine.

How would an Uninterruptable Power Supply help get you anywhere?

Perhaps you meant a GPS...? :D

Not only the train times... raininroses March 9 2006, 18:07:45 UTC
but the work shuttle times and location. The train added baby bullets but the Gilroy shuttle isn't classified as that...and the shuttle follows the baby bullet time schedule. So, I could go to Mountain view (which isn't near work at all) station and get there at 7:12 (which the shuttle left 3 minutes before) and wait until 8 am before another shuttle comes, OR take a taxi from a train station close to the Lawrence one...OR walk from Lawrence station to work. As I don't want to wait until 8, I either walk 35 minutes and have exercise and don't spend money, or take a taxi that gets me there in 15-20 minutes for 16 dollars..today I chose a taxi.
