- "Richelieu," the Queen says, eyes wide and body very small but somehow very central, somehow the focal point of the room now even more than Aramis holding the Cardinal to the wall with two weapons. "Is this true?"

So last time, the only threats Aramis faced were the same faced by any pregnant man, given a best-case scenario. This time, he's delivering early. And just b/c he's Aramis, he's giving birth in the PALACE, of all places! Hahaha!
I loved that Porthos' first thought to deal with a homicidal, beyond-reason Aramis was to bring in the queen. And it worked.
I laughed out loud in public at Athos' line to Aramis that he could raise their kids alone, Aramis was better with them especially when they're 'pre-linguistic.' Trust Athos to use big words even under extreme pressure. And yes, I can totally see him being the sort of father who would stand back from a small baby but interact more once the child is walking and talking and resembling an independent human being.
On another note, I'm sorry you're still not feeling well. I appreciate that you've continued to write as much as you're able, and love your updates whenever you post them. I hope you feel better soon.

This is one of my less shitty reply times now, but I'm still sorry it's been like a month and half ^^; But, yeah, when Aramis goes looking for trouble, dear lord the man can find it . . .
I can't imagine Athos being good with babies, which are basically wriggly beans which loudly demand things; I really don't think he'd be a bad dad with an older kid, though. And yeah, arms and head continue shitty, so updates are *crawling*, sorry about that . . . hope you've been well though honey, and thank you for reading =)
