I actually read your reviews two days ago! I'm just very awkward when commenting/liking/reblogging on Tumblr, but I liked them a lot. Especially your point about anime!Yu being demure in the beginning until he summons his Persona, that's a pretty cool analysis :D

You know, that makes awful sense. It does work for a game, and the derpy design is well thought out (I did read about the glare thing somewhere.) But yeah, as soon as they gave him emotions and facial expressions and hair movement, he's just a different thing. Plus, the voice? Dunno if Namikawa was aiming at that, but even when he was in shy mode it was still smooth. But yeah, it was particularly the stripping scene the big panty-dropper: it was raw and powerful and ridiculously erotic.

I like Persona 4 so far too. It has a good flow to it with a nice mixture of humor and drama. Things make sense even though I haven't played the game which is better than a lot of animes based on games.

Oh, I'm glad it's making sense then :) One of the things I like about the game is precisely the balance of suspense and laughs.
