well probably the inner truth(cf hexagram 61) is that there is little real difference between the candidates in substance and in american politics, although there are certain differences of orientation, the thing we can be thankful for is that they represent two really separate organizations rather being,as in russia, sock puppets of a single group or 'nomenkultura.'
Do you not see both the Republican and Democratic parties as "sock puppets" of major corporations then? They both walked around their conventions with bags emblazoned "AT&T", after they both voted to give telcos retroactive immunity from prosecution.
Debates are now run by a private corporation instead of the public interest group the League of Women Voters.
Candidates are considered by corporate media pundits to be 'valid' based on the amount of corporate funds they can raise, and how quickly they can do it.
Other than their advertising and labels, what is really the difference? Taste Great or Less Filling?
"Amount of time served in the US Senate" is impressive. They actually increment that every day? If not, it became a lie the very next day.
"Would pull troops out of Iraq immediately", "Supports homosexual marriage", and "Proposed programs will mean a huge tax increase" are all bald-faced lies. As, of course, are the descriptions of what effects taxes actually have, but that's an old Republican theme.
What I can't believe is how they just pass this garbage on, day after day. It doesn't matter how ridiculous, nasty or transparent the lies are, they just keep on coming. And the same ones, over and over and over.
