oh man i heard about this. it's sick that they're trying to "convert" the dirty, dirty homosexuals. i'm so glad the students won't take that kind of shit.

This sparks an interesting question. For me it's just a lot easier not to come out to my family. But maybe, if I admitted to being gay, that might make my family think of homosexuals in a better light. Maybe I have a duty to stand up for human rights in my house. Who knows, maybe one of my brothers is gay or bisexual, and knowing that I'm gay would give make his life easier.

I don't think you have a duty to anything on this matter other than yourself.

It's just figuring out what's best for yourself that's tricky.
