I'm perversely delighted that indie boys are now suffering and commenting on the bane of my life, things that don't even occur to girls to question:

Sure, my modern ever so fashionable sensibility demands Tight jeans, but I'll still drive you crazy bitching about them.

Yeah. You can finally meet all the people you've heard about. Hopefully Creepy Armadillo Boy (ask Maggie for explanation) won't be there. Would otherwise be awkward.

And tight jeans are really annoying. Especially on people who shouldn't wear them.

but somedays you just want your butt to look good.

personally, i'm excited about the return of tight jeans because it'll make it much easier for me to find that pair of super tight black jeans i've been lusting after for about three years now. (you have no idea how hard it's been to find real black jeans since the 1980s ended.)

Somedays you DO just want your butt to look good. They're completely ingrained into my sense of what is acceptable to wear, and so I do wear them. But it drives me crazy trying to figure out what fits, and then squeazing into them, and what's just gross, and long enough shirts, and and and.

And I do know--- last time I went jean shopping I tried to find black ones because then I wouldn't care as much about fit, and there were very few. But the return? They've been popular for as long as I've needesd to go jeans shopping.

Plus, the realizations of boys-- "hey! there aren't pockets!" or "hey! he just looked at my ass!" etc are so amusing when heard fresh.
