I cracked the hell up when Osawa turned out to be a kpop fan. For a brief, delirious moment I thought we were getting a Dream High crossover until I realized it was the actual band. XD BONDING WITH IWAI TIME!

It was totally hilarious that they needed TWO female characters to fill the Kimoto-shaped void in the team. How awesome is Rika? With her ponytail and hacker skills and WHY ARE YOU ALL MORONS stare. ♥

I'm still not convinced that SPEC isn't actually BOSS: The Adventures of Kimoto in Exile. XD

The 2PM thing was hilarious. Actually, was it just me or was Osawa a lot more relaxed this season?

Rika was amazing, but my favorite was Tadokoro. XD "You were there the whole time?!" I bet if we go back and look at S1 we'll see her placidly sitting in corners chowing down on onigiri while no one notices.

Holy shit, I want that crossover so bad. Not only for the character moments ("KIMOTO, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR ARM? DID YOU GET KIDNAPPED AGAIN? GEEZ.") but can you imagine the team running around in a world with the supernatural? Osawa outwitting SPECs! Yamamura trying to bend spoons! And Nodate would totally have some badass power that he kept hidden in favor of bragging that his SPEC was attracting girls. XD

No kidding, why does the idea of a BOSS crossover suddenly make everything else 500% more awesome?

She kind of was. I guess not dealing with the whole juggling-a-boyfriend-with-spoilery-secrets thing would make anybody more relaxed. XD More time for Nodate! I ship them like crazy.

That would be the best crossover ever, and NODATE TOTALLY WOULD. One of my favorite, favorite things in the world is, as you say, crouching moron, hidden badass. See also: The Scarlet Pimpernel; City Hunter. When a character uses his (it's usually his, hmmm) obsession with pretty clothes and lookin' good as a front for total badassery...and the obsession with his own hotness is A COMPLETELY GENUINE PART OF THE CHARACTER.

Are there female characters who do this too? Hmm...

BECAUSE OSAWA ADDS 500% AWESOME TO EVERYTHING SHE TOUCHES.

You know my dream drama? Something that combines all the awesome 35+ female professional BAMFs in Japan. Like "Now And Then" jdrama style. Amami Yuki and Yonekura Ryoko as kickass BFFs! Mizuki Alisa as a private investigator who occasionally beats bitches down with the help of her long-time partner Maya Miki!

I guess not dealing with the whole juggling-a-boyfriend-with-spoilery-secrets thing would make anybody more relaxed. XD

That's a damn good question. I can think of a few who hide the depths of their badassery (like Toma ♥) but none that really play a whole different persona...

YES YES YES I just finished it myself and now I'm on a BOSS kick where EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL AND NOTHING HURTS. Osawa! Nodate! Shippiness! Badassery! WHY CAN'T THERE BE MORE??

Whereas I was initially slightly disappointed, I still really enjoyed BOSS 2, especially the resolution scenes where Eriko turns all "HAH I GOT YA AND I SHALL NOW CATCH YOU IN YOUR OWN WEB OF LIIIIIIIES". My favourite moments of her doing that were probably the one with the ex-mobster (I totally predicted the stroke, hah) but the one with her stalker was also pretty awesome.
BUT. YOUR CAPS. They really remind me of Hanagata's awful, awful fashion sense, omg. I think my mind kinda glossed over it but reading your review and caps I just went "yeah.. it actually WAS that bad". D:
Can I just say how happy I was for all-around Nodate bamfery? Crouching moron, hidden BAMF is one of my favourite tropes and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Nodate this season, I ship him and Eriko so hard but I don't want to ruin their friendship but ooooooh...ahsdjsahdkja. The keysmash was inevitable.

One more thing though: I really, REALLY noticed how many pieces from other OSTs they used this season. Inception? Sherlock Holmes (don't know which track but it was when

I think my favorite was the date ep. "Boss has an omiai?!" AND ALL THE OSAWA/NODATE SHIPPINESS HOLY CRAP IT WAS EVERYWHERE. "Are you jealous?" "Yappari, I............. THINK THAT WOMAN OVER THERE IS HOT."

I also enjoyed Sakaguchi Kenji the vigilante. *_______* SHIRTLESS PUSH UPS. YEP. VERY PLOT RELEVANT.

The most amazing thing to me is that she KEPT PULLING THOSE and yet I WAS SURPRISED EVERY TIME. I mean, I knew her "oh, shucks, you got me" scenes were totally fake but then she would trap the criminals based on messy desks or LIGHT SWITCHES and I'd be like, man, I would make such a shitty detective. I NEVER EVEN NOTICED.

Osawa is such a goddamn BAMF, augh. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ OH OH AND KIMOTO. CLEARLY IN THOSE TWO YEARS AWAY SHE WAS LEARNING HOW TO BECOME AN BOMB-DEFUSING TERRORIST-DESTROYING BADASS. YOU'RE UNDER ARREST, MOTHERFUCKER!

Agree, this was not as good as the first. But still awesome. I would totally watch a third season, or movie or special. I think the end did set us up for another sequel of some sort (otherwise the ending was lame). tbh I would kill for a nodate/osawa as partners special. Like the episode with the flashbacks but MORE. I love their relationship. I half watch this show just for osawa and nodate... :x

That would be AMAZING. I'd love more flashbacks of their early days. (Like maybe the first time Osawa woke up in a strange bed and found Nodate getting dressed a few feet away... HAHAHAHAHA.)
