Seriously, I'm happy. A friend of mine recently started watching "You're beautiful" with me and when I gave her your review to read she literally pissed herself laughing :D
So yeah, I'm totally going to watch this with her - we need more korean entertainment to entertain us ;)
Even if this dorama actually sounds like something with quality :3

I wish they would have done more songs in general, because they were always so much fun, both fantasy (random!Grease song) and actual (Stupid Cupid!).
There were just so many interesting storylines. It's almost like they over-committed because really, almost every character could have had an entire drama based solely around their stories. And when you're spread that thin something is going to fall by the wayside.
Like, Sun-woo had a nice, complete story. Which I think is why I was almost OK with how it ended. Because he dealt with his demons and found peace. But I don't feel like Jae-hun ever really dealt with his issues. I always felt like he was running from it, even when he was going to turn himself in. I don't know. And then Tae-hee's cameo in the finale felt really tacked on. I wanted Do-sung to get some more confidence. He had that confrontation with his mom and then his story really just stopped. ( ... )

would Sun Woo have lived to see it?
Tae Hee's cameo was unsatisfying, I agree. I wish we'd gotten some hint of how their relationship would play out.
I also would've liked to see where Doo Ri went after everything. Where the future took her, etc. If she hooked up with Byung Gun or Soo Bin.

I'm pretty sure this explains the ENTIRETY of Taiwanese drama casting choices. I mean, you watch Ariel Lin bounce off of Mike He once and it's game over, practically...
DOO RI looks AWESOME
like, somehow right now I can picture her as always being the school's cute girl who gets her way, and then going over to the dark side makes her no long Plastics-frenemy material but a great girl-crush. (Also, the prof did not look that hot in the Wild Romance just a couple of months later, here he's totally sensei-crush material, what's with that?)
...nice punchline on this teaser post, btw.
gah. I AM going to watch this show, but not for a while...why are all the dark but fantastic musical triumph dramas hitting me at once?

...not to be shallow or anything.

Mmmmmm, Daesung.

but he's working his blonde boy-band locks for the BigBang comeback, I'll just have to keep the face we'll see him in actual concerts eventually.
This is the sort of thing that usually once you're spoiled isn't as big a deal in the actual show, so hopefully it'll just be fun!
