Fantastic dress!

Also I must say, there's something entirely captivating about Helena, and I can't put my finger on what it is. She has an engagingly direct way of looking at you, but it's not that, it's as if she's got something lovely around her, that one can't quite see, yet can't not be aware of.

She is such an enjoyable child. Normally the overlong company of people makes me tired, but she recharges me. (Of course, I may take that back when she hits the Terrible Twos)

Oh, I daresay she'll have her moments, but I know what you mean. I think she's inherited your aura! ;)

That's gorgeous!

I was trying to figure out what it is, too, about Helena. I think she's an old soul. She's far wiser than she can let on right now, and there's just something that shines from her.

She really is absolutely lovely and brings us all enormous amounts of joy. She's got a real fierce and mischievous streak, so cute

Hey, I didn't realised you had one of my patterns! Nice work, and those are lovely fabrics to boot. I agree, Helena is captivating :)

I bought two of your patterns - the mod dress and the reversible party frock. The tutorials are excellent and have really helped me to pick up tips and tricks and become friends with the overcasting and overlocking functions on my sewing machine.

Well done Amanda, it's really good stuff. :)

How kind of you to say! The party frock in particular teaches you heaps about how to sew reversible things, which is my particular obsession :) And yes, you will start studying every garment to figure out the order in which it would be assembled.

Reversible things are dead exciting. My ultimate ambition is to sew one of your reversible coat patterns.

In the meantime, I'm indulging my own particular obsession (skirts) and making darts and ruffles out of foxy fabric.

I wish you taught specific classes for idiots like me, on the subjects such as "Here is how you create a buttonhole" or "How to make your sewing look neat"
