Thoughts: What is this business about the ship? What sort of ship? Intercepted in what way? Clever clue. Many of my friends could be Mensa members. I've actually never thought about just how many, in fact. If the clay was in the US, it might have been in a Metropolis in your former U.L. But I think that's a men's court. Does it matter? Was it even in the US? Hmm. You are the most intriguing.
I have three options, but I'll go ahead and risk it: Je pense que vous devez être mon amie, sauvagerie. If not, at least you get the entertainment of laughing at my French.

Je suis très désolé, mais je ne m'appelle pas Nicole Sauvage.
-While I can speak English, French (after a fashion), and manage to fake my way through several other tongues, I actually know far more programming than verbal languages.
-In reference to the "ship" that I mentioned in my previous post: In a former life it appeared as the vessel Petrox Explorer in the 1976 remake of King Kong. (Not so much a clue about me, but interesting trivia that you might be able to use to your advantage . . . )
-There are eleven musical instruments in my home (6 string, 2 wood wind, 1 free-reed wind, 1 brass wind, and 1 piano).

I should have gone with my first guess! I was going to ask before, "In a (web-) published photo of your class reunion, is there a sign (behind you, on the wall) that reads, "Modest in Victory/Gracious in Defeat"?
I note that you did not say the ship was intercepted while you were on it.
So, could it really be that guntis has participated in my guessing game?
She meant to say, "I live in the deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep south, I have two GORGEOUS smiley-freckley-redheaded TREASURES, and I sometimes *but only when in character* can be found (in the middle of the day) dressed like a lady of the night!"

Sherlock Holmes was/is my hero growing up, and I've always gravitated towards mysteries.
Forcing myself to step off the ledge at a bungee jump is literally the most difficutl thing I have ever done in my life, but I want to do it again.
