This is mainly for the benefit of those of you who are not on Jay's friend's list.

Right, so I'm posting some more pictures, some a few different than the ones Jay posted. So, yes:

Anyways, as you know, we went to Minneapolis. Our bed was huge:

and it was actually in St. Paul.

Our campus is huge:

Its student population is five times bigger than Cadillac, which was the town by where I grew up that had the nearest anything.

We went to the Minneapolis Museum of Science, where I'm going to force my way into a job. This guy was really tall, a long time ago, and I'm a lot shorter than he is:

I'm also tickling his nipple.

This is the best sloth-claw ever. This picture is mainly for Amy's benefit.

Jay got scared by a bear. He was relieved when I told him it was in a glass box.

It rained. Every day.

I'm just excited about this:

And this is just pretty:

This is their alumni building. It very conveniently landed on Universitiy of Minnesota's campus, and so the alumns killed all the aliens and took their house.

Anne, this is a really nice sign, but you spelled your name wrong. And your grammar! For shame!

And this is where we ate lunch on the way home. It was the best combination of Subway and Nature EVER!

Lame exciting stuff: I heart, heart our apartment; I heart, heart our neighborhood; I'm excited about the program; I'm excited about teachingassistantshipping; I'm excited about writing; I'm excited about changing environments; I'm going to miss--really really really really--everyone here, even though I'm lame and rarely venture out of my cave; I'm going to miss everyone; I'm going to miss everyone.

In other news, I met with Chris Haven today to talk a little bit about my stories, which turned into a three-hour conversation about mostly random things--the environment, Minneapolis, academia, blue-collar work, etc. It was a good time, and I'm happy that he wanted to talk with me for that long. At any rate, it's been a good day so far.

Anybody feel like we have to go back to school like, tomorrow?
