Which Ander class is this? Nonfiction? What an excellent reading list!

Wow. I'm really proud of you kid. This sounds like neat stuff. Whenever I think of grad school, I get this pukey sensation where I'm like "WHO WOULD WANT EVEN MORE SCHOOL!?!?!?" But reading about your exploits makes me not get that pukey sensation. And that's good. So yeah. I know you'll do well.

Yeah, I wouldn't jump the gun on that pukey feeling. I mean, most of the time when I think about what I'm doing (three years? MFA?) and hear about what I can do ("You really need a Ph D to teach") I really really get that pukey feeling. But at least I can make all right money whilst doing...something. Argh.

:).

Good to hear from you.

not that i know shit about graphic novels, but i can suggest "our cancer year" by harvey pekar.

also to learn more about what these novels were, i looked up wikipedia right quick and they had a list of graphic novels.

Aaahhh, good. Thanks--see, this is what I wanted. Excellent.

I'm also interested in the children's literature, because I want to make the class as dynamic as possible: I think, during this short term, we'll be meeting for like, 3 hrs a day, 4 days a week. Suck.

And I've tried to update LJ like, 50 times since I've gotten here. And I just feel like whatever I have to say is boring.

:).

So you should update more often, too, Ms. McKay.

Tom introduced me to "Mother Come Home" and it is the most beautiful book ever, also there is one that I need to research, and I will post once I find out what it is called.

:(. I am writing you back. In paper form. I will have lots to say, as I have been terribly, terribly lax. Unresponsive, in fact.

Yes, I love love Mother Come Home. I'm considering that because it's short. And gorgeous. I want to keep the list culturally diverse? So not too many white people? Ha.
