I’m having a dilemma about New Years Eve festivities this year. It’s one of those holidays that I always really, really look forward to and it nearly always lets me down. Basically one of two things happens: (1) Nothing happens, and it’s disappointing; or, (2) I wake up ridiculously hungover and with at least one (and often multiple) regrets.

i don't give a flying fuck about NYE in particular. i am going to the shows on the flier that Claire posted because of the 12 bands listed, one of which cancelled, but one of which is not listed but is coming in from out of town to play, i want to see at least 11 of them. a few of them quite badly [see Teenage Cool Kids, Eric + the Happy Thoughts].

i am either going to only get moderately drunk and end up crying, or i am going to black out and end up crying, or maybe i won't cry, and will end up decently drunk, but not ridiculous. there is a good chance i won't do any crying until January 1st, either from a hang over or because i have yet another year of my stupid life to drag myself through.
