I just saw this at the Oriental, and it is the best movie I've seen in years. Sean Penn was amazing. Utterly incredible. If you haven't seen this, go. Now. I'll go and see it with you. Again.

NYExpectations
I’m having a dilemma about New Years Eve festivities this year. It’s one of those holidays that I always really, really look forward to and it nearly always lets me down. Well, it's the end of an era. I hope. I still have to get my grades, but I did the whole graduation ceremony thing, I wrote all of my papers, and I took all of my exams. I am no longer a law student. I don’t understand when people are totally snide about shit other people couldn’t possibly be expected to know. I think I would have every right make fun of someone for say… not knowing who Barack Obama is, unless he or she has cognitive difficulties, is a small child, or comes from a part of the world without TV, radio, or newspapers. Doing is better than whining.
I've had a good weekend.
Friday night was game night. Thank you to Angie, Evie, John, Margo, Theresa, Chuck and Brian for coming over and for making it fun and awesome. There was good music, lots of laughing, lots of wine ,booze and snacks, and we all stayed up a lot later than I thought we would (without spending all our money). It was great.

I believe that the alcohol markup at bars is outrageous, and you always smell bad when you leave. I believe that the economy is getting worse and worse, and I will be out on the street looking for a job soon.
