i watched dr strangelove last night, and that was a huge part of everything i'm afraid of. i feel like people don't talk about the fact that blanket decisions are made based on 'staying the course' and saving face instead of actually maintaining relations with other countries and working problems out diplomatically. politicians are pressed to be very concerned about how they appear in the media instead of making a real educated decision.
as far as less abstract things i'm concerned about- gun control, educational funding, social care funding (welfare, etc), and i would say gay marraige and abortion, but it's been whored out as a diversion far too much. :/
anyway, i'm rambling, and i've been having a lot of nuclear halocaust nightmares...so there it goes.
