[The letter had made him worried and since getting it he hadn't left the house. Yet, at the same time he wanted to flee from it. What if someone came after him? What if they were really strong? He was hearing so many things over the phone, so many people were already dying.... If he stayed home wouldn't he just endanger Rorona and Flay? Yet he didn

For a moment, the boy just stared. Alright. He can do this. He killed his first target.....sorta. So a second one shouldn't be too hard. Especially with Josephine. Maybe he didn't have the missiles back, but the legs of the robot would still be enough to crush the hell out of a target.
Finally, Pokey just bellows at the top of his lungs.]
Hey. HEY! I know you're in there! You don't want me to just wreck the whole house, you'll come out now.

Why... why are you doing this? People are just getting hurt senselessly....

But...he still doesn't like it. And that pisses him off. He'll ignore the question for now.]
You have to the count of three to get out here so we can do this.
One!

[He couldn't risk it, he couldn't endanger everyone else just because someone came after him. He completes the distance to the door and opens it up a crack to look out.]
You won't hurt anyone else if I come out... right? Just... please leave them alone, they haven't done anything.
(OOC: It seems that Vayne's original target has been auto killed for being absent and Pokey is now his target. I just got the email so I thought I should tell you that.)

I won't.
This is nothing personal. I just...gotta.
[OOC: Okay cool! Thank you for informing me.]

He barely knew the kid, but--- wait a minute. What was Vayne calling about out there?]
.... Tch! Vayne, what are you doing?
[Whatever it is, he's got a place now. He can stop this, can protect his friend. Who else does he have here? Pamela's gone, Anna's... not herself anymore... and Crowe's dead.
None of that heaviness is evident when he reaches the door.]
... Vayne. Where are you going?
Reply
Um....
[But what choice did he have?]
I'm sorry, but... this is all I can do for everyone!
[He throws the door wide open and runs out. There was nothing he could do... nothing at all. He didn't even deserve to be here with everyone.]

The person in front of him is brave. In their own way. He can actually realize that now. And he's just a coward, like he's always been. But what choice does he have? He has to try and keep Mindy safe, and he can only do that if he's alive. And who knows who'll come after him next? The first one was a weeny, but what about the second?
Slowly, as he runs towards him, he has his mech try to lash one of its legs out at Vayne, intending to knock Vayne down into a position where he could try and get a quick, killing blow.]

[There's no thought before Flay's in motion - lucky for him, Vayne's given him the advantage of leaving the door wide open.
Even without regains, he's fast on his feet, and he looks like a beast... though he'll have to be creative if he's going to have to fight Pokey off while he's still using the mech.]
I told you before! This isn't-- [Whatever he'd been about to say is cut off as his height advantage lets him reach the white-haired man, reaching for him.
If the mech's leg manages to knock him down, he'll try to snatch him back up and berate Pokey (and probably Vayne...) momentarily; if he makes it before the strike, he'll dash forward to try to put himself in the way of it.]

Senpai!
[Would the both of them simply get hurt now? What should he do?]

Move. Now. This doesn't involve you.

The six foot wall now stands between the two, arms crossed, momentarily, over his chest. Congratulations, you get to see Flay in his very rare "serious" mode.]
What good do you think this is gonna do, Vayne? I doubt it stops at just one. What if his next target's one of your friends? [... He's just going to assume Vayne's made some here. Regardless, his eyes narrow and his stance drops to the defensive.] See, that's where you're wrong. Vayne's my best friend - I'm pretty sure you trying to kill him makes me pretty involved. Now, the way I see it, you can leave him alone, or I can give you a reason to leave him alone.
[.... No, that doesn't address how he's going to deal with the mech. THAT ISN'T THE POINT.
.... man, this would be so much easier if he had his mana. Or his sword. Or, you know. Anything.]

I... I'm sorry.
[He starts to cry.]
I'm sorry... I just... I just don't want to see anyone hurt.

Shut up! Just shut up! You don't have a choice, I-
[Unfortunately, stomping down on his mech like a little spaz causes him to loose his balance and fall to the ground, face-planting in the earth.]

Currently, Slugger remains hidden behind a parked car in the street, watching as events unfold. With him he carries an ordinary wooden baseball bat, and on his head, a batter's helmet (it's his only "armor"). From what he can gather, the smaller man is Pokey's intended target but the larger one is playing the role of body guard.
For now, he won't alert them to his presence and is content to observe. If Pokey can get back up and do this on his own, it will be an ideal scenario and he won't intervene. But if not... He waits, ready to move if necessary.]

... This isn't gonna last, I think. They're just testing us. It's a pretty poorly written game, though - seeing how many innocent people they can make us kill while they pull our puppet strings! [He leans down slightly, one big hand reaching down, palm up.] So the best thing to do is to fight it, right? Just... leave each other alone and wait this out. Then we can band together and fight the jerks who did this!
[It's ridiculously optimistic, but that's just how Flay is. If you believe things will go wrong, then they will, dammit!
If Pokey won't back down, then he'll subdue the kid, but he's not about to try and kill him or anything.]
