It is with regret that we must inform you that you will not be inducted at the ceremony scheduled for December 1. Upon review of your comulative Grade Point Average, it was found tha the NHS requirement of a 3.3 GPA was not met.

Have you spoken with the school (or, better yet, HAS YOUR PARENT?) about how the averages are figured.
"Your work is above a 3.3, I'm certain, but since you're the GothGirl, we can't let you in our super society." JK- but they should review and quick. Even if you're not honoured at the ceremony, NHS looks good and its worth fighting for.
Nothing is for nothing and, even in bleak times, life has a way of giving you what you need. This is most certainly not the end all be all of your learning. Real Life teaches you things, such as this situation, that can never be learned from study or the written word. Fight for it with all the ferocity that you have, Meagan, and get others to go to the mat with you. You deserve it.
