I can conjure you some slumber sand, but not if it is going against what the infirmary has advised you.

I think the infirmaries problem was that the solutions to amnesia are short lived and addictive. They shouldn't have a problem with me using, uh 'slumber sand', as long as it's safe.

Well, I can't stop you, but I don't think you should. She didn't bother to reply to this post, so I don't think she actually cares, but I'm worried that if you bring it to her attention directly she'll feel like you're threatening her position as a caregiver and find an excuse to say no.
