Nope! No one else at all!

Aside from all the people who live here.

Is that so?

And might you be able to tell me where here is?

Might I? MIGHT I? Of course!

You have come to Memento Eden! You have been kidnapped and your memories have been confiscated!

Enjoy your stay~

I-

....

Well, I certainly wouldn't have come up with that conclusion on my own!

...er... thank...you?

Wait. Did he say "Pent?" Surely it couldn't be...

Might I be of assistance?

I would be most grateful for any that I might receive! It... might be a bit of an embarassing predicament, but it's hard to laugh at truth. I have no idea how I got here, much less where this is, or what I'm supposed to be doing- if anything.

Yes, I'm afraid that's normal here. We all arrive here without memories of anything concerning our past lives except for our names. So your predicament is hardly embarrassing.

Oh my... Well, thank you for the reassurance, although the matter is no less troubling.

I suppose I should be thankful I at least have my name to go by.

[Here, have a young purple-haired mage staring at you for a while.]

...Lord Pent?

*Blinks*

...you know who I am?

Of course I know you, milord! Yo-

Oh. Right. Amnesia. My apologies, milord; ironically, I forgot.

*Shakes his head* No, no need to apologize! I'm glad to know that there's someone else here that knows who I am- that might even seem to know more than I do currently about myself-

*Arches a brow* If the titles you address me with have anything to them. Although... *Looks at him silently for a moment or two, then shakes his head again, smiling resignedly* I thought I might have had something.

Well, perhaps it couldn't hurt for introductions- re-introductions, rather. You know me, obviously, and so I ask your name in turn.

Are you new as well, milord?

raising_elfire May 8 2009, 04:12:55 UTC
If 'new' amounts to having one's memory wiped and being left to wander aimlessly in this place, then yes, I suppose I am.

...do...I know you?

eccentricsniper May 8 2009, 04:33:28 UTC
Indeed, that is how I was a mere three weeks ago. However many kind people have helped me, and I've found that even though my memories are gone, this place is actually quite lovely.

Forgive me, but like you, I only remember my name at the moment. That being said, there is something about you that...

Oh dear, I apologize! I haven't even given you my name yet! I'm Louise.

That's nice to know. The few I've met thus far have proven quite friendly and helpful though, yes.

I see. Well, a name is a precious thing. I think we should be thankful we have at least that!

...Louise. ...that's a lovely name. It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Pent.

Everyone always starts with such a barrage of questions.

Reply

raising_elfire May 8 2009, 04:48:48 UTC
Well, given the circumstances I should think that it only stands to reason there be so many questions. But if you've been here very long I'm sure this has probably gotten annoyingly repetitive, and for that I will apologize.

It's quite alright, seeing as I most likely have no satisfactory answers, sir. I don't believe there really is an acceptable "Why?"...which I might also point out is the only question you didn't bother to pose.

raising_elfire May 8 2009, 05:22:48 UTC
True enough. I had not gotten to that question yet, but I suppose that with the lack of answers for the others, trying to pose a more philosophical question wouldn't get me any further, at least until I have a better grasp on the basics of my situation.
