I am so hungry right now. Lunch won't be here for another 1/2 hour. I am so broke. Kim told me that she is going to keep me on for Mondays for a while. I fucking hate it. I need money. I didn't do too bad Monday night though. Jack gave me a $20 tip. I could have gotten $50 more, but I don't want to show him my breasts. What a horn ball ( Read more... )

She is getting her uterus and cervix taken out in the hopes that the cancer will go away after.

i added you to my journal because i think we have lots in common.

I speak as a nursing student, i am sorry that happened. I think it comes more out of caring for the individual than laziness tho, from a nurse pesrpective: you want to include the family in the care, and sometimes the family would rather bathe the individual. In hawaii with a very dominate asian influence, many of the japanese and filipino individiauls i have to say. "No, it is okay, i will bathe them, you go eat or take a break" a few times before they will give in. and sometimes i think they give in because they dont want to argue with me. But in nursing school we are told to ask the family. WOuld you prefer to be bathed by us or family. But i only speak for me, not that nurse, and that nurse could be lazy.

I hope this didnt just get me kicked off your jouranl before i even had a chance to be on it

I added you too.

I think I was more concerned with the fact that the poor thing could barely stand(that is how she needed to be cleaned up also)and I was worried what would have happened if she fell. I was also pissed because she didn't even give anyone time to answer the question, she just left the room.

I wouldn't kick someone off my journal because they don't agree with me. I like varying opinions. I am thankful for you showing me another side of the situation too.

Yeah number one priority is patient safety. So it sounds like she wasnt following along with that. That is wrong. ANd that is also unethical to not answer questions and just walk out of the room. How is she doing now, that it is nearly a month later?

She is awesome. They found out that it was cancer (adenosarcoma), and removed the uterus and cervix. She is feeling much better now.
