The Green Fairy aka Absinthe

it really depends on what type of absinthe you drink, the alcohol content and amount of wormwood they put inside all plays a part in creating the green fairy effect. and if you drank it in singapore, i figure the alcohol content would be on the lower end.

people prefer it to be more visual hence the flames in the drink! lol.
think the one you drank was 80% alcohol. There's 40%, 60% and 80%.

1.5 shots won't do the trick especially if you have diluted it 5 to 1. Usually by the 3rd glass (not shot glasses) you will feel its effect. Its not the same feeling as having too much wine....its rather pleasant. I still have 3/4 of the Le Fee (http://www.lafeeabsinthe.com/index.php) with me. An excellent Parisian absinthe....the Czech republic has very cheap absinthe but its tastes vile.
