Pretzels

An unsalted pretzel is an abomination. It's an oxymoron. As far as I'm concerned, to produce a pretzel without salt is to rob the pretzel of its very essence. I say this as a longtime connousieur of pretzels and someone who just discovered that he had no idea how to spell "connousieur." I also say this as someone stymied by the unsalted " ( Read more... )

Also, pepperoni isn't just salty tasting, it's one of the saltiest meats you can get! Salami literally translated means "salted meats" -- and pepperoni is just spicy salami.

Anyway, back to pretzels; Target's food line make a honey mustard snack pretzel I think you would like. Sweet but salty, crispy but not too crispy.

Yeah, after I wrote that, it occurred to me that I enjoy honey mustard pretzels and cheddar pretzels, but both still have a salty undertone in my opinion and are slathered in the additional flavor regardless. It's really just the completely unsalted plain pretzels that are worthy of my contempt.
