new recipe!

 I tried a new recipe today.  I found it here.  And now for a review!

First, I used canned chicken from Costco.  One can did the trick.  (So much easier than cooking chicken ahead of time and then shredding it.)  Second, I didn't have 3 Tbs chicken stock, so I used 1 chicken bouillon cube and 3 Tbs water (approximately).  Then since chicken bouillon ( Read more... )

Does it taste a lot like pie crust? As in, would someone who didn't like pie crust but occasionally likes similar things like this?

It tasted flakier than pie crust, probably because of all the butter. I definitely didn't feel like it had that crunchy outer edge of pie crust that you often get... so it would likely be fine. But if you don't like pie crust and don't want to risk it, you can substitute biscuit dough or phylo dough or something of that sort as an alternative.
