It was kind of neat putting faces to voices that I hear on our weekly conference calls. There is one woman in particular whom I was interested in meeting. She's new at her position and often calls me for help, advice, etc. (if I may ( Read more... )

last year I declared to my mother (with whom I do most of my xmas shopping) that I was going to buy and wear the most tacky xmas sweater I could possibly find. I didn't end up buying one, because I'm too cheap to spend more than $10 on a really bad joke that most people who see it just won't get, but we had a LOT of fun looking at them. the one that she thought was the worst ended up being worn by my stepdad's cousin, who is only about 3 or 4 years older than me, at the family xmas party. we laughed SO FUCKING HARD! and TRUST me, she wasn't doing it as a joke.

My recommended sentence would be for the guilty party to have to eat an entire fruitcake in one sitting.

Hilarity ensued. Maybe it was ironic and hilarious? I'm guessing no, because your inability to guess ages aside, that's usually fairly evident.

Okay, you should seriously remove teachers from that list. There's two women at my school who have been teaching for YEARS. By now, they've amassed enough sweaters at a rate of one-per-year, that they can start wearing Christmas Sweaters the day after we get back from Thanksgiving.

And the men's Christmas Ties? Don't even get me started. My down-the-hall neighbor has a WEEK'S WORTH of musical ties.

Being a connoisseur of ties, you'd think I'd be more upset over Christmas ties (don't get me wrong, I think they're horrible). But the sweaters just seem more "in your face" for some reason.

Jeez, a Christmas sweater COLLECTION. That trumps all.
