Vote for me! Walkers Crisps new flavours - Raks's verdict!

Righty ho.

Just in case you don't know what is going on, Walkers asked the general public to send their ideas for new crisp flavours in. A suitably qualified panel of people has sat down and whittled those ideas down to 6 finalists that have been put into trial production for people to test.

I didn't like Fish and Chips when we got samples in the pub, haven't seen the rest. Bhaji sounds interesting though, as does the breakfast.

If you get a chance, if they're still making them, the farmer's choice crisps they made were excellent, Cumberland Sausage was lovely, as was the ploughman's.

Have only tried Chilli & Chocolate and Cajun Squirrel so far. They taste too much like the paprika sensations or similar large-bagged crisps although the Chilli & Chocolate had quite a discernible cocoa flavour to it.

My Cajun Squirrel pack had a strong flavour to it as well. I noticed it points out on the back that 'no squirrels were harmed in the making'. It also lists various herbs and spices in the seasoning ingredients but doesn't mention a squirrel extract anywhere.

Voting ends in May so I hope I've still got another two months to seek out and try the others.
