stuff i've been making
for mariko. pink and purple hounds-tooth-y stars.
tamiko's. tan and pink pinstripes on brown. i found this fabric in the scrap bin, so i got something like 2.5 yards for $1. i want to make a corset out of it next.
alison's. i'm gonna add sparklies to the polka dots. =D it's not really this misshapen-there's crap shoved inside for packing ease.
all three have this hot pink lining. the first two have chains that i have yet to attach. alison's gets sequiny ribbon for a strap.
for my mother. the accent is vintage obi material. i'm not sure why it looks so crooked. i measured and it's straight. i'll have to figure that one out.
the lining. so even though it's completely unfinished (the lining isn't sewn in and it's missing straps) and it's kinda fucked up, i have commissions on this bag. i made friends with a very nice woman who owns a lingerie shop down the street. i just happened to be carrying this bag around because i was picking up stuff to go with it. i showed her, and she wants me to make similar bags to coordinate with swimsuits she's bringing in.
this will become my grandma's bag. the colours are very off for some reason-more than in the other pics. the lining is a light-ish yellow. the red (also vintage obi material) is much more vibrant.
and i leave for the airport in 4 hours. yay no sleep!
