I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle.

Thanks, Linda. He will be missed. I can only hope he is reunited with my mother and aunt, and others of the extended family.

It's always sad to lose another family link - I am sorry.

But buying nice stuff is always good - and a new apartment is a really good excuse!

My condolences on the loss of your uncle. I've had that same feeling of "if only I'd spent more time...." when more distant relatives have passed away, ones I seldom saw but enjoyed their company when I did see them.

My condolences. That's sort-of how I felt after my grandma died this summer.

Still, I'm glad you're finding things you enjoy for your new place.

I wish that the generation before me could have lived forever, but that's not the way things work - we are not Elves.

So I'll buy stuff for the new apartment, and maybe a new book or two, and send a contribution to the charity of my aunt's choice in my uncle's name.
