Dear Writer-person,
Hi! Welcome to my DA letter! Thank you for offering to write in one or more of my requested fandoms. Means you love these fandoms/characters much as I do! I'm pretty easy to please and I'm sure I'll love whatever you decide to write for me. Don't be frightened off by the length of my letter, it's just sorta grown over the years of exchanges and I throw a bunch of stuff in. I always like it when my assigned DA letters are long and rambly, lots of different ways to get inspired, get a feel for my person, so I hope this letter gives you that. Feel free to go wherever you want to go, my prompts and ramblings are just suggestions.

Elementary - Joan Watson, Jaime Moriarty
Hahaha, I don't even know what I want for this...I just know that I love this show, I love Joan, I love Jaime, I love all the other characters, I love everything about this. I really love the relationship between Joan and Jaime - I ship it, but I'm also down for platonic obsession, queer subext, gen, ect. There's something inherently sexual about their dynamic, the way Jaime feels like she has *claimed* Joan, protects her, feels connected to her. She had the same with Sherlock and their relationship was sexual, so I feel that it's just intrinsic to her character. I think Joan is pretty open to new experiences and she's definitely curious about Jaime - about her past with Sherlock, about the dark power that she commands. It's alluring and Joan is really trying to soak up the darkness as of late. Y'know. lol.

I'd love an epistolary fic, they exchange letters and whatnot. Or a character POV piece about the one woman's obsession/thoughts about the other. I'd also really be into a Sherlock POV piece about him seeing the behaviour start (or not, because he is blind when it comes to Irene), his battle between passion and logic about it all (I'm okay if you explore how he finds it attractive, the idea of them, even though he doesn't think of Joan that way). I'm very strict on the platonic Joan & Sherlock thing though. Or maybe a case-fic thing where they're hunting her down again.

Vampire Diaries - Caroline Forbes, Klaus Mikaelson
I'm actually new to the VD fandom, I marathoned 5 seasons over Christmas and whoa, what a show. Caroline is a badass and I immediately loved her, only growing to love her more as her character expanded and developed over the seasons. I never really had a ship for her though....and then Klaus came along. Gosh, he was such a good villain - the type you actively await their demise but also secretly root for. Loved it. And then they *went* there with Klaus/Caroline and le sigh I was smitten. Being new to the fandom, I had a wealth of fanfic to read (lucky me), but we always want more. MOAR I SAY. I'm honestly cool with *anything* for these two; shameless smut, fluff, character study, AUs, etc. Just keep them in character. Don't turn Klaus into a misogynistic abuser and don't turn Caroline into a simpering flower (which are sadly tropes all too common for this fandom). I'd really really love something set after VD (which is coming ever closer) and Caroline leaves [totally blanking on town name hahah and I'm calling it Stars Hollow in my head which is definitely not it] and heads down to New Orleans to see if there's anything to find between her and Klaus. And (or you can skip that part and just go right onto this plot bunny:) they're living in NO as badasses and he's won the battle down there and is ruling as King and she's his Queen. And she liked was instrumental in winning the battle - cause Caroline is a fierce bitch.

For background stuff, I do ship Damon/Elena and I'm super fluid with other ships. I have zero use for or interest in Stefan hahah. I love Bonnie like the bees knees and ditto Rebekah. I'm not caught up yet on The Originals (again, newbie here), so I'd appreciate not focusing on those characters tooo much - they can be there though and you can use plot points, I don't care much for spoilers if it gives me the ship feels.

Scandal - Mellie Grant
I'm brand new to Scandal, like I marathoned four seasons in the last three weeks. And omg, I FELL IN LOVE. Mellie is a fucking badass, like damn girl. I fell in love with her immediately. She should be President not her husband. Her ferocity and intelligence is inspiring. I'd love anything about Mellie; a character study piece, a future story where she runs & wins the Presidency, where she uses her brain to solve an international crisis, or I dunno, she goes shopping. Whatever. I'm even into crazy AU's where she's a spy or a vampire hunter or a witch or running Project Leda, or the child of Jack Harkness, or she's a spaceship captain, or a pirate, or put her in The West Wing (CJ!), or whatever you want. Just keep her ambitious, brutal, deeply sensitive and emotive, and badass.

I do ship her with Olivia, and I'd love to see something about Mellie maybe just breaking one day and kissing Olivia to see "what all the fuss was about" and they are both surprised that they like it. And then start tip-toeing into an illicit affair. ooo. Or Olivia is running a campaign for Mellie (because she *does* owe her that)...or they're working together for some/any reason and Olivia starts to see that she hitched her wagon to the wrong Grant. But I'm also open to platonic friendship between them. Say Olivia finally pitches Fitz (I don't much care for him, can you tell?) and is single or seeing someone wonderful and then her and Mellie bond over how much of their lives were dictated by one man. And Olivia runs Mellie's campaign and she wins at everything. And if none of this is inspiring you, I'm definitely down for some angsty/fluffy Olivia/Jake/Fitz smut. Also, Cyrus/James are so beautiful - I want happy feels (no smut).

Arrow - Laurel Lance
Laurel is my favourite character on Arrow and it makes me so sad and angry when I see how much hate she gets from the fandom. To me, Laurel is such a relatable character; she's had so much tragedy in her life and she's had to work pretty hard for the things she does have, say nothing of her own sobriety and just getting up in the morning. I love how dedicated she's always been to helping people, and her transition to the Canary feels really honest an in character considering her past. It feels like not only a way to honour her sister, but the actions of a social justice activist driven to the brink of frustration with the very system she works within. Hahaha ya, so I have no idea if that helps you or not.

I'd love a character study piece about her, her thoughts and feelings and what she thinks of her future. Or something with her and Thea, like training together, bonding, Laurel being amazing in her not-blaming-the-nonconsenting-participant in Sara's death. The two of them suiting up and fighting crime together. Yeah. Or something more low-key like a girls night in, with Felicity too (and feel free to throw in any of the gals from The Flash in too). As for shipping, I ship her hard with Joe West or Cisco, but also Thea and Nyssa, so I'm open to anything with that. I'd love love love to see Joe and Laurel flirting; maybe she's working on one of his cases or whatever - lots of eye contact and sly smiles. And then them on a date and how wonderful a man he is and how powerful a woman she is. Or with Cisco, how *unusual* a choice he is for her but how that is why it works; he makes her laugh, empowers her as the Canary, making up gadgets and totally loving how badass she is. Siiigh.

Whatever inspires you. And if you want to un-dead Sara, go right ahead, you don't even have to explain it.

Jupiter Ascending - Jupiter Jones
Oh boy, this movie was genuinely awful...I FRIGGEN LOVED IT. I'd love a sequel-type story; whereas JA was about Jupiter finding out about the universe, I think the sequel would be about her grabbing that power by the throat and doing something with it. She would have a better understanding about the politics and would she try and reclaim other planets to make them free? What are her thoughts on power? On what she just experienced? On dating a weird space werewolf faerie vampire? On earth itself? I know if I found out I "owned" Earth, I'd raise up a dinosaur space army and make Earth a genuine better place. So how would Jupiter? Surely she's not cool with all the systemic oppression, depression and intolerance of the world. Cause Jupiter is a badass feminist with amazing hair. I do totally ship her with Caine, so go right ahead. If you want to write me something super shippy, I'm down for that too. Does he have a home planet of other space werewolves? Would he take her there and she'd get her Danaerys on and free them all and become their queen? These all sound like really huge plot ideas (whoops), but I would be very happy with a small one-shot that touches on any of these themes or ideas. Or if you have a story in mind already that I haven't really talked about, go for it. Or I dunno, Jupiter showing Caine her favourite earth stuff and he's all "what is an Oprah?"

Sanctuary - Helen Magnus, John Druitt, James Watson
I will *literally* never get over this fandom, these characters, this ship. So I'll be happy with whatever you give me. Helen/John/James is my OT3 OF LIFE. Like it's friggen canon - how badass is that. I'm pretty open to literally anything you want to write me for them. Nothing super fluffy, cause that's not them, and I'm open to dark as long as it stays away from my squicks. Also, I'm cool with any 'couple pairing' version of these three characters, I just ask that you honour the canon themes of poly (like Helen/John are a love for the ages, but they both *love* James and have been with James), ect. I love the ultimate struggle in their relationship - Helen is this brass, powerful feminist, James too is a feminist and also a genius with an eye for detail, and the love of their lives is Jack the Ripper. They're all immortal, they're all queer! Like omg the drama! The possibilities! Like that line in Normandy, "who are you more jealous for?!" - uggg that right there is gold! So many feelings!!! I love that trio and how messed up it had to have been over the years for them. Anger, confusion, love, jealousy, etc

One of the beautiful things about this show is that you can take these characters almost anywhere in history and it works. So if you have a historical setting, that's cool. During present canon works too, as does future-fic and canon-divergent (like maybe they rescue Ashley and what all that entails). I love character study too (so much) and these two are such diverse characters.

I'm also totally open to any gen character-study based fic. I loooove character study. You can bring in any other characters you'd like. I do not ship Helen/Nikola so please don't go there. I do ship Henry/Nikola though (hard) and I'm down with the fanon that during his dark years John would have been doing the nasty with Nikola. They're all so incestuous!.
