Ok, so I know that the people who read this thing must be dwindling in numbers (thanks to those that do!). I have, after all, probably made less than 20 posts over the last year. But, I want to ask those that do read A QUESTION

well since it's my job to promote podcasts...

here's my thought on them. i think a podcast is only successful if it is so clearly specific, and the information (whether in terms of subject or the way in which it is compiled) is unique to your podcast. to have someone listen to one for 30 minutes, if it's just opinion or a subject that anyone can listen to, then eh. you need to bring something so incredibly new to the table for it to work. and you have to think about the audience. like if you have a subject where the audience will have mp3 players and itunes. (i know this sounds dumb, but if you put time and effort into one and the audience you're going for are 3 year olds...)

the only podcast i ever check into is...get this..the disneyland one. but it's the official one and has interviews with top peeps. information i can only get from the podcast. maybe you can do a podcast on "disneyland theme park entertainment and their effect on broadway musicals." you know i would TOTALLY LISTEN TO IT!
