At work they use CB radios to communicate between the plant, people in vehicles, and the offices. There's one in the lab too, and sometimes I get to use it, which means I've gotten to say things like "[Name], you got a copy?" I'm pretty cool, but I haven't worked up the nerve to use "10-4" yet. I'm working on it.

It can't be just "10-4"- it has to be "10-4, good buddy." Please, oh please.

Where I worked this summer, the radios are numbered, and some have letters (i.e., 12-C or 4-R) . . . they call each other like, "Portable 3 to 9-C", which would be answered just "9-C". One day, as I was sitting there listening to the radio chatter, someone called one of the ones appended "R". Except he arrrrghed like a pirate ("12-C to 4-Arrrrgh!"). And the guy, answering, arrrrghed back. And then they just arrrrghed at each other for a couple of minutes.

Nothing like work . . .
