Accurately, about forty feet or so.

If they're moving it's around twenty feet, although it depends on the size and speed of the target.

I suppose you normally 'ave better knives than this too. Jus' loike I normally have a much better gun than this.

I usually have knives meant for throwing, yes. But I have to make due with what's here. As for the other, it's because of my job.
