I'm sorry to hear things are difficult between you and your roomie right now. I can understand how a small space can create a lot of tension (it's part of why I need to leave too) and your apartment is like, half the size of my house. And my house isn't even that big.

I hope things work themselves out for you soon :S

It should be a matter of me stepping up and saying something, but at the same time, I'm worried that if I were to call out anything, it would turn into a shit storm-- which would not make living arrangements any more pleasing.

I totally understand what you mean. I mean, I love my family, but there's a certain point where it just becomes hard to live with them.

I have trouble with that too. The stepping up part I mean, especially when it's passive aggression. There was a LOT of that in the past with my family (well, some of it still exists, but it's mostly between my parents now). It's worse than direct aggression because at least direct confrontation is a clear message and you can deal with it more effectively. I'm so unconfrontational, so I can understand your want for less stress in the form of arguments.

Family is amazing. You wouldn't be who you are and all that without them, but at the same time, it becomes very difficult to put up with the pointless drama.
