Jane Eyre mrw20 March 2 2007, 01:37:23 UTC
yes, I saw the masterpiece theater Jane Eyre!!! It was so good! Jane Eyre is just about my favorite overly romantic story EVER, and there have been so many movies, but none of them are really very good. (There is actually a really old one with Orson Welles and Joan Fontaine that I like too). But this new one was really well done. I did find some of the love scenes a little over-sensual (if that makes sense), but that's just me... And I loved how they emphasized the theme of redemption for Mr. Rochester. Didn't he actually say the word redemption at one point? Good stuff.

I hope the baby is born soon! Does they know if he is a he or a she?

Yes, the great part about it is that it is a question directed to Jane. "Do you believe in redemption, Jane?" He knows she has suffered through an answer to that question. ah, you're right, good stuff and good directing and acting.
I think I like it so much because part of what constitutes their love is an attraction to each other's suffering.
I like to refer to the love scenes as being...passionate.

They're having a girl, Beatrice Marie.
