Hrm, so Koss has mailed me a brand new pair of full size headphones (sorry - 'stereophones'. whatever, Koss), rather than try to repair my old ones. Oddly enough they still haven't cashed my cheque for S&H. Hrm. What's funny is that they're in the retail packaging, complete with bonus earbuds. You know what root beer brand I like? Dr.Smooth. Or is that a Dr.Pepper rip off? I'm pretty sure it's root beer.

That's actually good? I bought it once as a semi-joke, but I'm not sure if I actually tried it. Wikipedia led me to this site. Which is awesome. They give Dr. Smooth 2.5 peppers.

This led me to wonder what exactly Dr Pepper 'is,' and whether it's considered root beer. "Dr Pepper's flavor is allegedly derived from a mixture of soda fountain flavors popular when the drink was first devised."

Also interesting to note is that Dr Pepper/Cadbury-Schweppes owns Hires, which is tied as the oldest soft drink still produced in America. Although Dr Pepper has been 'widely produced' for the longest time, whatever that means.

I'd never heard of Hires root beer. How does it compare to A&W, cuz that's my favorite? :)

I can't say I'm a connoisseur, but it's fine by me. I had no idea how complicated the root beer situation really is. They're both owned by the same company in the US now, but are possibly distributed by different people in Canada.

Hires Root Beer did not Rip-Off A&W's color scheme. Hires was around WAAAAAAAY before A&W. In fact Hires was the ORIGINAL root beer.

I've writen a lot about it on my website:

www.flossdaily.com

btw, they ARE owned by the same company, Cadbury/Schweppes
