Read an entry on kitsch_king 's LJ about Rice Rhapsody... and it got me thinking.

Our family members are supposed to be the people we can always turn to for support and advice and comfort - after all, as the saying goes, there's no place like home. But I think that in reality, for a lot of us, Home is just another place where we have to continue putting up

actually you are absolutely right. when our traditional family doesn't fulfill our needs, in psychology i understand that we go about building a "constructed family" through our friends, and other people we trust in our lives.

the main thing is to recognize that and learn to acknowledge and cherish your constructed family as much as your traditional family. coz' only then will you love them as much as you need them.
