Wow, it's been a really long time since I've been here. I thank maree who posted that she started a new journal. I was a follower of her last journal. And it reminded me how much I lived LJ. yeh ive come back to livejournal as i had nowhere to just post bits about my day. Everywhere else i tend to post political and fandom stuff and didnt feel comfy doing personal life posts. I was put off of dreamswidth because they dont seem to have an app on android where i would most use it.

Instagram's Sister app Threads is what brought me back. I didn't last a week there. Someone posted about it being the happiest they've ever been on social media. I yawned and replied,"I miss LiveJournal".

yeh i couldnt get along with instagram and abandoned fb and could not work out twitter at all. The best places seem to be tumblr and tiktok. And im impressed by the lj staff, making the site and app better to use. At one point i completely walked away because nothing worked, at all. And pinterest has slid down the list too, because theyve messed up a bunch of stuff that is making it less user-friendly. Watching ppl lose their minds over twitter and reddit recently, has been popcorn worthy to watch 😆

I too am returning after 20 years or so. While our taste in music is radically different, I saw The Beatles and George Harrison in the interest lists and that's really all I care about. I suppose I should add a few bands to mine?
