Randall quietly let himself into his apartment later that night. He hadn't expected to have that conversation with Jen, of all people, but he had. And he still couldn't shake what he was feeling, but he did feel a bit better.
He had stayed late for Charlie to take care of some stuff after he got off the air, so he wasn't surprised to find Anna asleep when he went into the bedroom. He smiled. She was curled up on one side of the bed, and Suzie Q was curled up on Randall's pillow beside Anna. He gently sat on the floor to take his shoes off, not wanting to sit on the bed and wake her.
When the shoes came off, he set them beside himself and leaned back against the wall. He sighed and just watched them sleeping for awhile.
That was what was calming him. Hearing the soft sounds she made as she slept, studying the curves of her face, and even Suzie's soft purr. It was such a warm silence to him. It made him feel like he was home and he could just let it all go. Everything about being in that bubble they created when they were home made him feel safe, like everything would be okay.
He watched as Anna moaned softly and shifted in the bed. The blankets slipped off her body slightly and he smiled at the sight of her in the Bon Jovi t-shirt. The shirt she'd pretty much claimed since the very first time she slept in his bed.
She shifted again and murmured his name lightly. "That you?"
"Yeah," he whispered.
"Come to bed."
He smiled and pushed himself to his feet, starting to pull his shirt over his head. He stripped down to his boxers and moved to lay down beside her. Suzie Q jumped up bitterly and ran down to curl up at their feet. Randall settled in and curled himself against Anna. She sighed and curled up against him, snuggling in close. His lips pressed against her forehead and he just held her close.
"You okay?" She whispered.
"Mmmhmm." He brushed his mouth against her face until he found her lips and kissed her softly. "I love you, gorgeous."
