Honesty

It was a girl night tonight and we watched "Must Love Dogs" I have wanted to watch this movie for a while, mostly because I heart John Kusac (Sp). The movie was not the best of his movies that I had seen, however, there were some interesting conversations. One particular conversation involved the couple discussing when it was best to be as honest

I think everyone, at some point in time, needs to expose the skeletons that might be hanging in their closets to anyone that's close to them, especially if there's bound to be the potential for a long term relationship. The other person deserves the right to make their judgement of an individual based on everything about them, instead of just the facade. Not only does it let you get a better idea of who that other person is, but the other person gets to gauge the reaction you make to said info. And who knows, that reaction could be just as important as the "secret" itself.

ok kourt, lets be honest, you are the BIGGEST "only show people what you want them to see person" i think that has EVER walked the face of the earth. And i mean that in a good way. I have two things, first, I have been the lady when shes in the store and wants one piece of chicken but they will not give it to her...and hassle her. Second, of course we act a certain way at first, to get the person to like us, then as they get closer we slowly reveal the stuff about us that we know may cause another not to like us. ANd If people would have told us some things about them before hand we NEVER would have dated them, became friends...etc. I wish more people would just be honest
