I had a root canal today. I am in agreement with most Americans in that I hate dentists and usually put off any dental work until it either gets infected or the pain is no longer quelled by 3 or more motrin at a time. For me, it was the latter ( Read more... )

Sad to hear you got a painful root canal but that's funny stuff you got there. I had a similar experience where the surgeon numbed up the wrong side and then later proceeded to burn my lip with a welding torch type apparatus.

This best thing about your story is that you somehow care how Pearl Harbor ends. Now you know why I didn't want to watch Transformers. Same dude, Micheal Bay, who directed Pearl Harbor directed Transformers.

Lol..thanks! I didnt get burned, but i did start freaking out because i saw the smoke. Oh, and there was one part where the dental hygenist was like, Doctor, can i talk to you in private. and they LEAVE me to go talk for ten minutes. I was totally sure that they had just had sex, so i started compulsively checking my zipper, making sure they werent going to rape me.
did you have a root canal too? how long does it take till it stops hurting?

I had two done a few years back. They pretty much stopped hurting a few days after the procedure. They would have stopped hurting sooner if I didn't chew on the side of my cheek while my face was all numb. doh!
