✩✩✩as his meister ability is about as beneficial as it is detrimental, and i'm all for naruto weapon hopping like crazy, having a lasting partnership is probably going to be iffy at best. especially since that lack of resonance will feel like the equivalent of naruto and his partner experiencing what would be similar to the ninetails' influence. mostly this just translates as a lack of resonance will have both parties feeling as though their skin is being melted off of their body. tasty.
Soul Description: genuine, determined, hard-working, inspiring, hyperactive, simple.
Soul Appearance: Yes. That is a steaming bowl of ramen. It's bright yellow and smiles a lot and is generally pretty derpy looking. Given the existence of the nine tailed fox, the set of tails are faintly visible- but could be passed off as wisps or flames when Naruto isn't feeling particularly inclined. They become clearer when he engages in battle, and even more so when he's pushing his limits, Naruto's own bright soul color bleeding into the fox's red chakra, getting progressively darker the further as they go on.
stuff you might like to know: naruto has been in play here at soul campaign since fuuu uh, august 2010 i believe, and was played pre-time skip! wherein, stuff happened. lots of stuff. as the in game timeline and actual timeline are different, i'm going to list by actual time. mostly because i'm really lazy.
august; naruto partnered with uchiha itachi to go follow sasuke around while he did stupid reckless things. this has since become sort a an official partnership.
november; naruto was part of a group residents that were kidnapped by a city resident and the witches. in his time spent as a captive, naruto was tortured and experimented on, leaving him with multiple scars and various modifications. along with his changed body (perhaps the most obvious mark is a scar that all captives have, from the back of their necks to the base of their spines), naruto's soul has changed and bears some of the trademark dark purple colors found only in witches. also, as a result of the experimentation naruto was now in possession of an animal form, that of a nine tailed fox, triggered by an individualized chant. for him, this chant is hakke no fūin shiki (eight trigrams sealing style).
further, during captivity, naruto spearheaded an escape attempt. while the attempt was unsuccessful, it also resulted in the death of fellow prisoner asano rin, a girl naruto had grown very close to in his time in death city, and also the one person he had promised he would get out of captivity. naturally, he'd taken her death quite hard and had chosen to keep much of his experiences and feelings on the subject to himself.
december; sasuke and naruto are kindof. mostly friends again. use the term friend well. really loosely.
february; naruto intends to dual wield the uchihas. not that either of the brothers are aware of this yet. and expresses interest in learning to be a 'better meister'
march; naruto joins the watch.
april; naruto convinces sasuke to join as well, and with his consent, the entire naruto cast at soul campaign is now on the watch.
which brings me to june 2011!
and probably the question of why would you even bother to update him to shippuden when you aren't playing any of the cool shit.
well. actually it's because sauce mun and i realized that as long as they'd been in the game, they were well into the 2.5year series gap. strugglubf with how to age them in a believable way and coming up with nothing, we settled on this. so now you have episode 50 naruto! who left&returned to death city with all his memories in tact!
