Summary: Dawn hated mornings.

I woke up trying to not to scream. That’s not a particularly strange occurrence, but, honestly, I think this had been a first. How often can you claim you just had a dream you were in, except you weren’t actually you? Well, probably pretty often, but it was still weird for me to watch myself take a starring role but not actually be that person. Also, to whoever house DreamMe just rigged with detcord? I’m sorry. Technically, you were helping too, and you were kind of a bitch, but still. At least you don’t have a Ghost problem any more? At least, I hope you don’t.

I groaned and fell back on my bed, rubbing my eyes and glaring at the blinking 5:28 on my clock. College, sometimes I hate you. For once, at least, I’d managed not to wake Zoe up, which meant she wouldn’t be trying to kill me. Don’t get me wrong, of course I like my roommate, but sometimes I’m trapped between feeling sorry for her or laughing for having to deal with me. I know I’m not exactly a catch; too many issues.

Still, thoughts for another time. The semester was finally winding down, which of course meant ‘hey you’d better do a billion papers’. I’d ended up with 3 hours of actual sleep after pulling an all-nighter and a half to finish this one, a monster-paper for the legal-studies class I didn’t need to be taking but still was. Hey, you never know. Angel et all will probably hire me, and you can actually do something with that degree. Maybe not something meaningful, but if it comes down to being a soulless lawyer or a starving linguist/historian ranting about the true origins of Mayan Civilization being Vampires, I know which I’ll pick.

Still, having to deal with evil lawyers every other day was a pain. And not ‘Mwhahaha end the world evil’ like Angels, though we’d had W&H guest lecture. These had been Lawyer evil. What the university thought it was doing letting Jonas Stern teach. He might have been a brilliant lawyer once… but now… I shuddered. Still, no reason to piss off the bastard and forced myself out of bed. Papers to print; classes to be at. All that fun stuff.
