A WELSH radio station banned the new version of Do They Know It's Christmas? yesterday after being inundated by listeners claiming it is "rubbish". I'm with Sam and Wales. I heard it for the first time on thursday - absolute load of rubbish, it was completely soulless - rather like the modern day music industry.

It is still a very worthy cause though - and I'm sure it'll get to number 1. Just a shame it's a bit pants.

Do you think the people who redid this knew it was basically "no good" and just thought they would ride the coattails of the original artists? It seems a shame if that's so--especially if it's supposed to be for charity. Still, censorship isn't good. Maybe the station should have just designated a shedule--say once in every three hours, or something like that, and played it anyway. I can't see urging someone to buy something that isn't good enough to air on the
station--they might as well just make a donation to the cause and not bother with getting the music! (But, I know less than nothing about this, so I'm probably way off base--LOL!) Take care--Opal
