I have to admit that I went through much of the same realization in the last couple of years of my life. I think it's part of growing up when you realize you are in control of you, regaurdless of who it pisses off. You have to always do what is best for you.
Even if that means you lose some friends, or suddenly people think you are acting totally different.
Let's face it, when all is said and done, those people won't make your decisions for you, pay your bills, live your life, and don't have to live with your mistakes. Those things are all on you.
Good luck man, oh, BTW, you better ass be at my engagement party on the 3rd too!
