This was a "straight edge" thanksgiving for me. It is so weird to think how screwed up I once was physically, chemically and emotionally and to wake up today and realize where I am now, a few days from having a beautiful new child, with a wonderful woman, a great family and sobriety. my mom didn't get why the main thing i was thankful for this year was being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. but seriously, it has changed my life in ways I can't even begin to describe.

Happy for you and i understand what you mean. Since you last saw me my Sir/Husband and i are going are own ways. My son ,I and the man that has help turn my life around and show me how to live with the new illness over the last 3 years are moving back to my home in TN in May if not before. i now know that i can be a healthy sub and that i have friends and family that want me on this earth for longer then i did at one point. So much to be Thankful for this year....
