A plucky puppy and a plea for help

ladyneon asked me to pass this on on my LJ, so here it is. ladyneon volunteers with Collie Rescue of the Carolinas, and they just got a puppy named Nugget in who has been hit by a car. As She explained to jchance over AIM:

I think it helps that we have one of the best veterinary schools in the country relatively close to us. There's really no use in bringing up cutting-edge treatment options when the closest place equipped to provide those options are hours away. When the best experts in the field are only an hour's drive away though a concerned pet owner might just be willing to make the trip if it means their pet might live instead of being put down. Once vets start considering more advanced treatment as an option for some of their patients it becomes a lot easier to consider those same treatments for other patients who might benefit.

Or maybe the puppy is just that damn cute. I haven't seen any pictures of Nugget yet, but I am told that video will soon be up on YouTube. As soon as I get the link I will share it with all.
