Purple prose tiem!

Aug 30, 2010 22:58

I have homework. I do not want to do it. So instead I'm going to fulfill arcanelegacy's challenge. Her preference was to describe oneself in the purplest prose possible, but instead I chose a fictional character. Because I do not know how to describe myself in purple prose.

Oh god this goes against my nature D: )

But it's so purple! D: Aww, thanks though. Julia's kind of... dead... but maybe there could be a place for this. Like a flashback? Psychological torture for Spike?

Also, would it bug you terribly if I aimed to get you a rough draft of my new chapter within this week? I really need to work on it like whoa, but I am having so many problems. lol.

no-one's truly dead in fiction. think 'Lost'. or 'Heroes'. or many others I can't name right now.
of course you can send me the draft ;)

Well, case in point, the lunkhead himself. :P But, yeah, I'm afraid, alas, that will not be the case for poor Julia. Though I've actually also been contemplating writing an AU story in which Julia decides to take Faye up on her offer and team up with her and then they go around being awesome together. Like Thelma and Louise or something. IDK.

Yay! I'll get to work on that in between my homework... I'll at least get it up to readable standards, but I can't promise anything spectacular ;)

well, you're right, Julia's dead, and so is Trinity, and as a matter of fact so are both Thelma and Louise. but we can still imagine scenes that might have ended up in the recycle bin or on the cutting room floor...

argh. did I stumble upon something with that Julia/Trinity comparison? ;)

I'm your beta reader, remember? I've seen your writing in pajamas, not only in premiere outfit. so don't promise, just deliver ;) :D

Very true. But, yeah, the possibilities are great. Argh, I wish the Faye/Julia scenes had more screentime. I understand why the plot had to move along (and I don't think the last two sessions should have gone any other way), but they were so awesome together. :(

Someone made that comparison? I'd be curious to see.

Haha! Okay, I'll remember that. And I'll try to deliver to the best of my ability :D Seriously, thank you.

me , in the previous post. Didn't develop it, but you can do it if you want, it's right up your alley. ;)
you know, the strong, silent woman who brings out the best in her man but it's ultimately her(tragic)death that sets him free... free to fulfill his destiny.
and so on ;)

Dude, yeah, I totally see it, that's a great comparison :D ... And I guess I ship Spike/Faye because that's where the story differs?
