So, I don't know if I told ya'll this, but, like notbatwoman and bagladydd, I too am joining the NorthStar Roller Girl league. You might think, by the nonchalant way I mention this, that I'm not overly excited. But you'd be wrong.

Thanks! I'm crazy excited. First real practice is tonight! The girls are great -- I work(ed) with a couple of them, and everyone else I've met has been awesome too.

And hi! You're one of the MNRGs, right? Do you know Honeydew Felon? (She's a friend of mine -- used to work with her.)

I don't actually know you, right? Did you just search for rollergirl-based posts to find mine?

I took a quick look at your LJ, saw the "mother cake" post and with the RG stuff too, well, I have to friend you. If that's cool with you. (I always feel a little weird about "friending" people I don't know. It becomes very voyeuristic. Not that that's a bad thing -- it just feels odd basically saying to someone, "hey, can I watch?".)

They are really awesome, everybody in the NSRG's is great. I skated in the NSRG's last year - I was co-captain of the Kilmore Girls, and voted #2 Overall MVP for the league. :) This year, I skate for the MNRG's - they're a *lot* closer to where I live than the NSRG's.

I just saw Honeydew Felon for the first time, last night. She was skating in my "line" (we were doing sprints.) She seems pretty nice. :) I'll have to tell her you say hi... what's your full name, or will she know you by Rampion?

I'm totally fine with the friending thing. I'll try to keep an eye on you, see how the NSRG'ing is going!

BTW, I came across your journal because somebody clicked on the link to the national roster (which I run). See ya 'round! Tell the NSRG's that Soylent Mean says hi!

We went to a couple of NSRG's matches last year -- that must be why "Soylent Mean" sounded familiar. Excellent name, by the way! MVP? That's awesome! If I get good enough just to play in a bout once in a while, I'll be happy.

My real name is Danielle. Amanda (Honeydew) is very cool. I like her a lot.
